Benalla Veterinary Clinic is a rural mixed animal practice that has been serving the local community for over 60 years. Our team of friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable veterinarians and nurses are dedicated to providing professional and compassionate care for all your animals. From small pets like dogs, cats, and rabbits to larger animals like cattle, sheep, goats, and horses, we have the expertise and resources to cater to their unique needs.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services to ensure the health and wellbeing of your animals. Our health care services include health checks, behaviour consultations, canine hip and elbow x-rays, clinical pathology, cold laser therapy, digital radiography, eye specialist consultations, and house visits. We also provide surgical services such as laparoscopy, desexing, orthopaedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry.

In addition to our health care and surgical services, we also offer wellbeing services that include pet insurance, puppy school, dog vaccination, cat vaccination, rabbit vaccination, dental health, microchipping, nail clipping, washing and grooming, and chemotherapy for pets with cancer. We understand that euthanasia and cremation can be a difficult time for pet owners, and we are here to support you through this process.

For our large animal clients, we offer livestock consultations, cattle pregnancy testing, and emergency services. We also provide pet care advice on dog care, cat care, rabbit care, parasite prevention, nutritional advice, and boarding advice.

Our Team

Our team is led by Dr Stephan Miechel, a 1991 Melbourne University honours graduate with over 28 years of experience in mixed animal practice. Dr Miechel is supported by a team of dedicated and compassionate veterinarians, nurses, and reception staff who are committed to providing exceptional care for your animals.
