Stargazing and Night Sky Tours
At Twinstar Guesthouse & Observatory, we invite you to embark on a unique astronomical adventure like no other. Our guests have the exclusive opportunity to participate in a free guided tour of the night sky using our state-of-the-art 46cm reflecting telescope housed in a 4.5m observatory dome. The tour begins at 20:30 (weather permitting) and is exclusively available for our staying guests.
Our well-equipped observing deck features a fenced-in area, comfortable seating, and access to power outlets for your equipment. Whether you're a casual observer or a professional photographer, you'll find our facilities cater to your needs, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience under the stars. Book your spot in advance and let our experienced team guide you through the wonders of the night sky.
Accommodation and Amenities
At Twinstar Guesthouse & Observatory, we offer three comfortable and clean guest rooms, each with ensuite facilities. Our guesthouse can accommodate a total of six guests in three rooms, each equipped with an air-conditioning unit, a private bathroom (shower and toilet), fridge, microwave, toaster, basic cutlery, tea and coffee making facilities, wardrobe, iron, hairdryer, shampoo, soap, towels, linens, and a private entrance.
Guests enjoy free undercover parking and free Wi-Fi from 7:00 to 22:30. Check-in time is after 15:00, and check-out time is 10:00. Unfortunately, we do not allow pets. Our affordable and uniform room rates provide excellent value, with all room rates including the guided night sky tour at the observatory.
Home-cooked Dinner
Complete your stay with a delicious and healthy dinner (set menu) delivered to your room at 19:00, if you book in advance (24-hour advance notice required). Adult dinners are $18, and children's dinners (for children 11-years-old or under) are $12. The menu changes daily and includes options such as Teriyaki chicken with rice and stir-fried vegetables, Pork cutlets with cooked vegetables and bread, Lamb curry with rice and salad, and Japanese Dinner Box (fish, rice, vegetables, soup, and dessert) *Note: No breakfast is available. Please bring your own supplies.
Booking and Payments
Enquire about our rooms by using the Contact form or emailing us with your preferred booking date, number of guests and rooms, required room types (single, double, twin, or triple), and your mobile number. We do not require a deposit for bookings. Cash, EFTPOS, and credit cards (Visa, Master, Diners, Amex & JCB) are accepted (no surcharge). Bookings require the full names of all staying guests.
