Welcome to our wellness clinic, situated on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. I am Silvia Russo, a practitioner of Chinese medicine, acupuncture, herbal medicine, and equine acupuncture, with 22 years of experience. I am dedicated to providing holistic healthcare services to the community, complementing veterinary care and other treatments.

Services Offered

Our services are designed to cater to the unique needs of our clients, both human and equine. They include:

*Acupuncture and Dry Needling*: Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body. It works by activating the body's nervous system and innate healing capacity, improving mood, sleep, stress, digestion, pain, and more. Dry needling, on the other hand, is a western technique that uses needles to target trigger points in muscles to alleviate pain and improve function.

*Western and Chinese Herbal Medicine and Supplements*: Our herbal medicine practice is based on the belief that nature provides us with the tools to nourish, support, and guide our bodies through their unique healing processes. We offer a tailored health solution using the best quality herbal medicine, including supplements, which are mostly made in Australia and are TGA approved. We have a well-stocked dispensary, containing practitioner-only herbs and supplements in both tablet and liquid form, which are easy to take and fit into a busy lifestyle.

*Cupping*: Cupping is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that involves creating a vacuum on the skin to increase blood flow, reduce pain, and promote relaxation.

*Moxibustion (Heat Therapy)*: Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that involves the burning of a herb called mugwort near specific points on the body to promote healing and improve function.

*Cold Laser/Photobiomodulation Therapy*: Cold laser therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses low-level laser or light-emitting diodes to improve tissue repair, reduce pain, and promote wound healing. It is a complementary treatment for humans and horses, useful for various conditions, including chronic and acute laminitis, colic, stringhalt, muscle tightness and soreness/pain, difficulties with digestion, trauma recovery and healing, soft tissue injury such as tendonitis, scar tissue, post viral fatigue or just fatigue/lacking lustre, viral infections with cough/COPD and choking.

*Equine Acupuncture and Cold Laser Therapy*: Equine acupuncture and cold laser therapy can be used as a complementary treatment for your horse, alongside veterinary care and other treatments. It can be used for various conditions, no different to what it is used for in humans. Some of the conditions though, do vary as they are only present in horses and not in humans!

As a World of Wellness member and AMPS member, we support autonomy in medicine and welcome everyone. I have been practicing Chinese medicine, including acupuncture & herbal medicine in the Flemington/Ascot Vale area for 22 years and now happily looking after the local community on the Mornington peninsula.
