Our History

Our story began in 2003 when our director, Ben MacDonald, started his electrical apprenticeship with a commercial electrical and refrigeration company. As he neared the completion of his apprenticeship, he took on extra studies in advanced PLCs at TAFE, which helped him land a role in the food manufacturing industry. For five years, Ben worked as the sole maintenance electrician for the site, responsible for looking after the site's major plant machinery equipment. When the plant closed in 2012, Ben decided to start his own business, Wire Empire Pty Ltd, which has since grown to include air-conditioning, refrigeration, communications, and security services.
