Welcome to Wodonga Specialist Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (WSOG), a private practice dedicated to providing specialist obstetric and gynaecological care to women in the Albury-Wodonga and surrounding areas. Our team of experienced doctors and nursing staff are committed to providing the highest standard of care, up-to-date information, treatment options, and professional attention to our patients' clinical needs.
Our Story
Established in 1989, Wodonga Specialist Obstetricians & Gynaecologists has a rich history of providing high-quality obstetric and gynaecological care to the local community. Our aim is to provide patients with the best possible care, utilizing up-to-date methods, materials, and equipment while prioritizing ethical and responsible behavior towards our patients and staff.
Our Services
At WSOG, we offer a comprehensive range of services, including:
- Gynaecology: We provide expert care for a wide range of gynaecological conditions, including abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis, and sexual health issues.
- Obstetrics: Our team of obstetricians provides expert care for women during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.
- Teaching Clinic: We are a teaching clinic for registrars and General Practice Obstetricians, allowing us to train the next generation of specialists.
- Pilates and Antenatal Care: Our in-house physiotherapist, Imogen Batten, provides clinical Pilates, ante- and post-natal health support, as well as guidance for women experiencing pelvic pain and dysfunction.
Meet Our Team
Our team of doctors includes:
- Dr. Hang Chau, with expertise in high-risk obstetrics, laparoscopic surgery, and general gynaecology.
- Dr. Simone Mulder, with specialties in general gynaecology, minimally invasive procedures, and treatment of incontinence and prolapse.
- Dr. Kylie Waller, with interests in general obstetrics, laparoscopic surgery, fertility care, and cervical and vulval disease.
- Dr. Kathleen Braniff, with expertise in general obstetrics and gynaecology, including cervical and vulval disease, urinary and prolapse issues, and menstrual and menopausal issues.
- Dr. Sue Ann Loh, fluent in Mandarin, with a strong focus on patient education and supporting patient choice.

Disappointing Experiences
Several reviewers have expressed disappointment with their experiences at the clinic. Jessica Hardie gave a 1-star review, stating that the doctors and receptionist were lovely, but there were issues with communication and the doctor's appointment was interrupted. She felt unclear about her diagnosis and reported that the practice manager, Cheryl Balkwill, was unhelpful and came across as cold and callous.
Sharon Prentice also gave a 1-star review, stating that she was not happy with the service she received. She felt that the doctor she saw was rude and dismissive, and the waiting time was excessive.
Sonia Leigh gave a 1-star review, expressing frustration with the treatment she received after her laparoscopy. She felt that the staff were rude and that the doctor had done something wrong with her Mirena insertion, leading to an infection.
Kara Widd gave a 1-star review, stating that she was not allowed to bring her baby to her appointment, despite being unable to obtain childcare. She felt that the clinic was being unreasonable and was shocked that they would deny women medical treatment simply because they have children.
Disappointing Staff Conduct
Some reviewers have also commented on the poor conduct of the staff. Jessica Hardie felt that Cheryl Balkwill was unhelpful and came across as cold and callous. Sonia Leigh reported that the staff were rude after her laparoscopy. Kara Widd was extremely upset by the staff's behavior, describing them as "extremely rude and unempathetic".
