Our anaesthetic technicians are dedicated, fully trained, and experienced, and all animals under anaesthesia are continuously connected to anaesthetic monitors measuring heart rate, ECG, O2 levels, and blood pressure. Routine pre-anaesthetic blood screening, intravenous fluids, and a wide range of appropriate pain relief and analgesia are provided to ensure a comfortable and safe experience for all patients. We have extensive experience anaesthetizing cats, dogs, exotic pets, and Australian wildlife.

*Dentistry*

Your pets' dental hygiene, just like your own, is essential to their overall health. Our practice is well-equipped to cater to your pets' dental needs, including routine dental cleaning, tooth extractions, and the management of various dental issues. Services include ultrasonic scaling and polishing, human dental air-driven high and low-speed hand pieces, sterile dental instruments, and digital radiology for detecting issues beneath the gum line. Pain medication, local anaesthesia, and high-end patient and anaesthetic monitoring ensure a comfortable and safe experience for your pet. Preventative dental management services include a wide range of dental care products and prescription diets.

Unsatisfactory Experiences

Several reviewers expressed disappointment and frustration with their experiences at Larkhill Vets. Tracy Stone was quoted a price of $672 for a teeth scale and clean, but was charged $798 when picking up her dog. After querying the discrepancy, she was given a discount, but not before being made to feel unwelcome. Angela Daniels, a regular client, had a positive experience with the vet, citing exceptional care for her horse. However, this was not the case for all reviewers.

Poor Communication

Sharon Guardia was extremely disappointed with her experience at the vet, citing a lack of empathy and understanding from the receptionist and staff. She was left feeling frustrated and unheard after being put on hold while her dog was struggling with car sickness. Ted and Sandra Blackshaw had a similarly poor experience, feeling that the staff did not communicate effectively and provided false information. Their dog was put through unnecessary pain and surgery, and they felt that the staff did not care about the welfare of their pet.
