Shape, Articulate, and Pitch Your Extraordinary Ideas
Welcome to Nedlands Clinical Psychology, where we are dedicated to providing a compassionate and personalised approach to therapy. Our clinic is located in the western suburbs of Perth and is easily accessible to clients from all over the city. We offer both in-person and telehealth sessions, and our psychologist, Dr David Indermaur, is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a registered Medicare provider of Clinical Psychology services.
Our Approach
At Nedlands Clinical Psychology, we believe in a strengths-based approach to therapy. We work with our clients to build on their existing or potential strengths, rather than focusing solely on eliminating weaknesses. Our approach is guided by compassion and pragmatism, which means that we strive to find the most effective and practical solutions for each individual.
Dr Indermaur's approach to treatment is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which is a form of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). ACT focuses on developing mindfulness and acceptance of difficult thoughts and feelings, rather than avoiding or suppressing them. By learning to accept and face into difficulties, rather than avoiding them, clients can develop a greater sense of inner freedom and serenity.
