Cotton Lea and Q.R. House are two beautiful colonial houses located in Ipswich, South East Queensland. These houses, built in the early 1900s, are rich in history and offer a unique accommodation experience. Cotton Lea, located at No. 117, is a spacious house with three accommodation levels, two large lounge rooms, shady verandahs, a large breezy deck, and a BBQ area. Q.R. House, located at No. 119, is a newly renovated house that is popular with sporting teams and families. It has an open plan kitchen, one large lounge room with an adjacent enclosed verandah, and is close to a park and playground with BBQ facilities.

Both houses are situated in a historically interesting area, close to the East Ipswich Railway Station. They have interesting connections with past history involving British immigrants from Manchester, the American Civil War, and the first railway in Queensland. The houses provide a variety of choice, allowing self-catering options if desirable.

Bedding Configuration of Cotton Lea

Cotton Lea house has two large self-contained queen size bedrooms with ensuites, a two-bedroom family unit with a kitchenette and bathroom, and a four-bedroom unit with various bedding configurations. The bedding configurations are as follows:

• 2 x self-contained queen size bedrooms with ensuite: Capacity: 2 persons; Bed types available: Queen size bed
• One bedroom family unit: Capacity: 4 persons; Extras: kitchenette and bathroom. Bedding Configuration: 1 x queen size bed, 2 x single beds
• Four-bedroom unit: Capacity: 4 persons; Bed types: 2 Single beds and/or 2 bunk beds; share bathroom and toilet
• One bedroom "sleep out": Capacity: 2 persons; Bed types available: 2 Single beds; share bathroom and toilet

Bedding Configuration in the Q.R. House of Cotton Lea

The Q.R. House has two queen size bedrooms and one single bedroom with various bedding configurations. The bedding configurations are as follows:

• 1 x One bedroom with ensuite (own bathroom with toilet): Capacity: 2 persons; Bed types available: Queen size bed
• 1 x One bedroom: Capacity: 2 persons; Bed types available: Queen size bed; share bathroom and toilet
• 1 x One bedroom : Capacity: 4 persons; Bed types: 2 Single beds and/or 2 bunk beds; share bathroom and toilet

Additional Information

Children are welcome at Cotton Lea and Q.R. House, and cots are available for infants. An excellent playground is located in Queens Park or at the small corner park. The establishment has full refund of deposit (50% of total charge) if cancellation is advised prior to 21 days before the booked arrival date. Cancellations within 21 days will mean forfeiture of the deposit. Rates are available on application. Guests must consider other visitors and neighbours by avoiding excess noise. The establishment is a non-smoking establishment, with smoking allowed only on verandahs and in gardens. Individual televisions are available in some rooms.
