Our Staff
Our staff are highly trained and experienced in working with children, young people, and adults. We use a range of solution-focused strategies to address issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioural difficulties, social difficulties, and school refusal. Our staff include Ida Shapievsky, the founder of Psychological Assessment Solutions. Ida has a Bachelor of Science (Psychology), a Post Graduate Diploma (Psychology), and a Diploma in Psychological Practice. She is a member of the International Dyslexia Association and an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Ida is passionate about supporting relationships where both parent and child feel appreciated, acknowledged, loved, and understood. She believes that with the right tools, anyone can thrive. As a mother herself, Ida understands the worries and concerns that parents face, and she is committed to helping children make easy and stress-free transitions that will guide and benefit them as they progress from childhood into their adult lives.
Appointments
Making an appointment is easy - there is no need for a doctor's referral unless you are claiming through Medicare, in which case this will need to be discussed with your GP or pediatrician first. Parents are encouraged to come on their own to the initial consultation, as many children find the process of waiting outside the room while their parents talk about them to be very anxiety-provoking.
