Our Services
At Clear Island Waters Health Precinct, we offer a range of services to meet your healthcare needs. These services include:
- Flu Vaccines: We offer flu vaccines to help protect you and your loved ones from the flu.
- Acupuncture: Acupuncture is a method used to improve the body's functions and movements. It involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body, which can help to alleviate pain and promote healing.
- Telehealth Appointments: We offer telehealth appointments to make healthcare more accessible to our patients. Telehealth appointments are conducted via video conferencing and allow you to consult with a doctor from the comfort of your own home.
- Skin Cancer Checks: Skin cancer is a prevalent issue in Australia, and early detection is crucial. We offer skin cancer checks to help detect any suspicious moles or lesions.
- Sports Medicine: We offer sports medicine services to help athletes recover from injuries and prevent future ones.
- Paediatrics: We offer paediatric services to help children maintain good health and develop properly.
- Additional Services: We also offer a range of other services, including women's health, men's health, mental health, and chronic disease management.
Our Team
Our team is comprised of highly qualified, professional General Practitioners (GPs) whose aim and work ethic is to serve our patients to the best of their ability. They are all passionate about their work and constantly updating their knowledge through conferences, seminars, courses, small group discussion and training. Our doctors take the time to listen to your concerns and provide personalised care tailored to your individual needs.
Opening Hours
We are open from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are closed on public holidays and weekends. If you require medical attention outside of these hours, you can contact the National Home Doctor Service on 137 425 (13sick), the Gold Coast Hospital on 1300 744 284, or the Health Advice Line on 13 432 584 (13HEALTH). In the event of an emergency, please dial 000.
Appointments
Patients are required to make an appointment to see a doctor. Walk-in appointments will be seen, however depending on circumstances of the walk-in, e.g., emergency or not, you may be required to wait until one of the doctors becomes available. If you have a complex matter to discuss with the doctor or multiple concerns, please request a longer appointment at the time of your booking.
House Visits and Nursing Home Visits
House visits and nursing home visits are available upon request and at the doctor's discretion. To be eligible for this service, the patients must be a regular patient of the Clear Island Waters Health Precinct and live within a 5km radius or a 10-minute drive.
Communication
Our communication methods include telephone, email, and fax. We also use HOTDOC, which is responsible for sending SMS messages to patients. When communicating with patients via email, it is conducted with appropriate regard to the privacy laws relating to health information and confidentiality of the patient's health information. Our practice will only provide information that is of a general, non-urgent nature and will not initiate email communication with patients. For the moment, this practice does not communicate with patients via SMS (other than appointment or recall/clinical reminder). Phone contact is more appropriate so that the patient can be properly identified.
COVID-19 Response
Our priority during the Covid-19 pandemic is the safety of our patients and staff. For this reason, we are unable to see you in the clinic if you are experiencing respiratory (cold/flu-like) symptoms. It is important that you let our receptionist know at the time of making your appointment if you have any symptoms. Masks are required whilst in the clinic. This is our private practice condition of entry. If you arrive without one, please ask for one from reception upon your arrival. Thank you!
